Ellen Harvey - Local Landscapes (2004)
Site Specific installation for the Project in Los Angeles.
Harvey's Local Landscape (2004) was made as a site specific installation without having visited the gallery. Asking the gallery to send her high res images of the buildings interior and exterior, Harvey then made three photo realist paintings of the details. The walls of the gallery were wall-papered with the images of the exterior of the building and the paintings were hung on top.
